Cookies & similar technologies

How this website handles cookies, local storage, and analytics. Last updated: 4 May 2026.

In short

This website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or behavioural profiling. We do not show a cookie consent banner because none of the cookies set on this site require consent under § 25 (2) TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act) — they are strictly necessary to deliver the service you have requested. Aggregate analytics is provided by Plausible Analytics in a cookieless configuration.

1. Legal background

Storing information in, or accessing information from, the terminal device of a visitor (cookies, local storage, similar technologies) is regulated in Germany by § 25 TTDSG. The default rule is that consent is required, except where the storage / access is strictly necessary to provide a service the user expressly requested. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and do not require a banner.

All cookies described on this page fall into the strictly necessary category. We do not place any cookies that require consent.

2. Cookies we use

Cookie / itemSet byPurposeLifetime
__vercel_live_token / __vercel_*Vercel (hosting provider)Strictly necessary. Used by our hosting provider for deployment integrity, request routing across edge regions, and abuse / DDoS protection. Set only if relevant to the request.Session / up to 1 year

No other cookies are set by Lumatix Biotech or by integrated third parties when you browse this site without submitting a form.

3. Plausible Analytics — why no cookies

We use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) to understand which pages of this site are useful and where audiences come from. Unlike conventional analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and similar), Plausible:

  • Does not set any cookies on your device.
  • Does not store IP addresses. A daily-rotating hash is used only to estimate unique visitor counts and is not retrievable.
  • Does not generate cross-site identifiers.
  • Does not enable tracking across multiple sites or merging with advertising profiles.
  • Stores all data on EU infrastructure (Plausible is registered in the EU and uses EU-based hosting).

Because no personal identifiers are stored and no cookies are set, our use of Plausible falls outside the consent requirement of § 25 (1) TTDSG and is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring reach and improving the site). You can find further detail in our Privacy Policy.

4. Local storage and session storage

We do not write to your browser’s local storage or session storage for tracking purposes. The Next.js framework on which this site is built may use very small amounts of session-level storage to manage page transitions; this storage is volatile (cleared when you close the tab), contains no personal data, and is strictly necessary to deliver the navigation behaviour you expect.

5. How to control cookies in your browser

Even though no consent is required for the cookies described above, you can always control or block all cookies via your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may impair the functionality of this and other websites.

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce a tool that requires consent under § 25 TTDSG, we will publish a consent banner before activating the tool, update this page, and update the effective date above.
